Kayaker on the Green River - Paint by Numbers Kit

A lone paddler in a red shirt glides across olive-green water, dwarfed by canyon walls that climb like stacked ramparts on both sides. That tiny red kayak is the anchor of this Canyonlands National Park scene, and every warm, glowing shape around it seems to lead your eye back to it.

The Green River lies almost mirror-flat, holding streaks of amber and gold from the sunset sky. Banded cliffs of rust, terracotta and cream rise in big, graduated masses. The upper edges catch the last afternoon light, while the distant mesas fade into lavender and dusty rose. Sage-green shrubs and pale boulders line the shore. The large, readable shapes make it a satisfying project for beginners, and the gradual blending inside the rock faces gives experienced hobbyists something to enjoy.

It also suits anyone who loves the American Southwest, or who wants a gift for a paddler, hiker or national parks fan. Set out on the river and let the canyon glow build up one numbered section at a time.
